Ace In The Hole

Here you will find remnants of the Cold War, including an underground launch control center and a missile silo. Minuteman missiles held the destructive power to destroy civilization as we know it. Yet the same destructive force acted as a deterrent which kept the peace for three decades. Minuteman Missile makes it possible to revisit a time when the threat of nuclear war haunted the world.

Weekday Missile Talks

Minuteman Missile is offering a daily missile talk at 9:30 a.m. Monday - Friday from Memorial Day through Labor Day. During the month of September the talk will be at 1:30 PM. Visitors will begin this program at the park's Visitor Contact Station off Exit 131, Interstate 90. The program includes a viewing of the park's 12 minute orientation film. After the film visitors will car caravan 15 miles to the west and arrive at Launch Facility Delta-09. A ranger will then give a short program on the history of the Minuteman weapons system. Visitors will have the opportunity to view a Minuteman II training missile on display. No reservations required!

New Park Film

Minuteman Missile is proud to announce its first ever park film. This 12 minute film gives visitors a short tour of both Launch Control Facility Delta-01 and Launch Facility Delta-09. The tour is guided and narrated by a ranger. Film highlights include a look inside the underground Launch Control Center where two missileers waited for launch orders they hoped would never come. Viewers also learn why the Minuteman Missile is considered such a technological wonder.
